I did not realize my obsession with the micro pleat until I started putting this blog post together. I am someone who prides herself on not being one of those people that buys one article of clothing in multiple colors, but alas, here I am. But I'm telling myself this is different for 3 key reasons: 1) I bought these on separate occasions over the span of several years, 2) each skirt/dress are from different brands, and 3) I think I've styled them quite differently.
The white and black dress is simple, elegant, and a bit understated (understated for me means no crazy colors or patterns.) The yellow and green plaid skirt is bold, fun, and flirty and the green long sleeve crew neck gives it a touch of athleticism. The maroon outfit is full old money corporate. I'm particularly obsessed with the print on the shirt. I think I've outdone myself on the matching front; not only do the colors match but the print also reinforces the aesthetic of the outfit as a whole.
Lastly, shout out to the tall boots and maxi skirt combo. That's gotta be up there with other iconic combos like apple pie and vanilla ice cream and bacon, egg, and cheese. :)
